Staff Accountant – Corrugated Manufacturing

The Staff Accountant will support the team in financial decision making. This includes assisting with the direction of the financial matters within the organization by preparing financial analyses of operations, including financial statements with supporting schedules, reviewing invoices, managing payments, as well as a high level of interaction with customers and vendors. The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller and General Manager.


Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain the company’s system of accounts, books and records.
  • Develop and monitor financial policies.
  • Review of items charged to the various company credit cards, matching with receipts, and preparing journal entries each accounting period.
  • Provide sales & use tax reporting.
  • Close the books each accounting period, prepare monthly financial packages and financial analysis.
  • Assist the Controller with the annual audit preparation and audit process.
  • Handle onboarding of new customers and vendors.
  • Daily problem solving as it relates to General Ledger, Payables, and Receivables.
  • Monitor aged inventory in accordance with company policies.
  • Develop and analyze sales and profitability reports.
  • Financial lead on plant initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree is Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters.
  • 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
